What Wondrous Love Is This?
Easter is just around the corner. There is so much that can be said about this incredible event. The events of Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday are the very essence of the Good News! The Apostle Paul even goes as far as to say that if the resurrection didn't take place we should all just pack up and go home, there is no hope (that's my very loose paraphrase in case you were wondering)! BUT, the resurrection did happen! The tomb is empty! Christ is Risen!
I love the reminder that we find in Romans 5:8-10
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ you have much to be thankful for this Easter season, but perhaps at the root of it all stands the wondrous love of God for you and I. Such wondrous love that gave His Son. Such wondrous love shown to us not in the shape of a pretty red heart, but in the shape of an agonizing cross.
Christ has died! Christ has risen! Christ will come again!
Whatever you are facing right now, take time to rejoice in wondrous love of our Savior and to invite someone that you know to join you at Church and experience that same love this Easter.
